Weekly Photo Challenge: My 2012 in Pictures

This week’s photo challenge from WordPress is to create a gallery of photos from 2012.  As this has been a 365 challenge year for me, I had rather a lot to share, but have reduced it down to these.  All photos were taken in Canada.  I hope you enjoy my choice.

  1. I liked your choices – the hummingbird was my very favorite!

    • I love the hummingbird too. I was so thrilled to actually capture it so well.

      • I’m the same way about some of my photos – there is such a satisfaction to capturing something as delicate as that. And they’re fast – they buzz me on the deck from time to time going to the trumpet vine in our backyard.

  3. May – a perfect hummingbird portrait!

  4. Gorgeous! I love the ferns. 🙂

  5. Beautiful photos of flowers and the hummingbird!

  6. Your pictures are amazing! I’m getting all embarrassed about my snapshots.

    • Hey, do not be embarrassed. Everyone starts somewhere. Just keep going with it and see the progress you make. I was totally embarrassed when I first acquired a camera. Now, I’m at the point where I know it won’t all be perfect, but it is something no-one else has done/seen, so it is good.
Love your crafting, and love the snaps of you and your friends. with all that has happened to you this year, I suspect those friends are very important right now. Enjoy them.

  7. I say !!! I am so impressed of your photos. Especially the one from the harbour Sunlit Marina? .. and the Hummingbird in the air 😉 wow – Happy New Year 2013 😀

  8. Happy New Year!
    Congrats for all your work!

  9. beautiful pics. How did you manage to capture the Hummingbrid?

    • That was patience. I sat near the feeder, had the highest ISO I could on my camera, with the fastest shutter speed and just shot what I could. I took hundreds of photos. Only a few were worth anything and that was one of them. Thanks for the visit and for the comment.

  10. beautiful pictures you got there.

    • Thank you. I appreciate your visit, like, comment and follow. I have just had a quick look around your site. Very diverse, and there is true honesty there. I found the post about the shoes quite moving.

      • i never thought people would actually read my blog. but hey, thanks for reading! i like your site very much, so i followed 🙂

      • That’s the wonder of the internet and with blogging. People you least expect start finding you, and they come from all over the world. Enjoy the experience.
