This week I was challenged. Did I have any photographs that actually had more than one subject in them? Well, the answer was “yes” but I didn’t realise until I came to search for a photo for this week’s post.
The first photo actually has three subjects in it: The sculpture of the children playing, the beach, and Lake Okanagan.
The second is, again, about land and water, but it is the reflection of the land in Skaha Lake that really makes this photograph. In addition, the sand and water demarkation is strong and so adds emphasis to this photograph.

nice images kate, and thanks for the pingback!
these are amazing!
Interesting scuplture of the children…. they are a little unatural looking. Is it the stifness of the limbs? I’d like to see them properly and walk around them!
These sculptures are not my favourites either. There is something about them that doesn’t make me feel comfortable. The smaller boy is portrayed as screaming as if scared and looking to his older sister for comfort and security. To me, that isn’t fun!!! However, I have taken photos of them in the sunset and, because they are made of bronze-like materials, they become golden in the evening light. So they can be beautiful.
Thanks for your comments.
