6th Oct 2012 – Ladybird, Ladybird, Fly away Home

Ladybird, Ladybird

Fly away home.

Your house is on fire

And your children are gone.

Do you remember the children’s nursery rhyme?  I often said it as a child, but on hearing it now, it seems quite dark!  Anyway, the words all came flooding back to me as I saw this ladybird fighting its way through the jungle of grass and clover on our lawn.

The thinnest of grass must seem like a giant tree to the ladybird.  It’s all about perspective!
