I’m hanging on to summer for as long as I can. I made a fruit salad today from summer’s best fruits – strawberries and peaches – along with autumn’s first fruits – plums.
I am a person who really likes to eat seasonally i.e. eating food that is grown locally, pick and eat as it ripens. This means that I shouldn’t really be eating strawberries and peaches, because their harvest time – locally – was in June, July and August. However, I can’t quite give up on the sweet tastes of summer just yet!
