WARNING: Today’s photo is of a snake, so if you have a phobia, you are warned.
There are nine native species of snake that inhabit British Columbia and these include the rattle snake. Today, while visiting a friend, her children had captured a juvenile Western Yellow-Bellied Racer Snake. It was still quite cool and very placid so I could get some reasonable photos.
The thing that struck me was the vivid yellow/green underbelly that the snake had. Unfortunately, I couldn’t capture that too clearly in this photo. However, the pattern of the scales is very clear. Isn’t nature wonderful?
