9th July 2012 – Distortion

Cut glass distorts – simple.  Look through any cut glass and it will give you a distortion of the image you are looking at.  Put a number of cut glass panes alongside each other and that distortion becomes more apparent.

This photo was taken looking through a glass window frame in a door.  I love the way that it gives you a reasonable image of what is beyond, but there is doubt because of the distortion.
