This is an abundant time of year. The orchards here in the Okanagan Valley are bearing fruit. Recent rains have made the fruit swell, and the warming sunshine is speeding their growth.
June is the time trees drop fruit that it cannot grow. Often called ‘June drop’, apple orchards are strewn with discarded fruits. Yet, many stay on the branches.
Today’s Photo is of an apple bough loaded with small apples. I attempted to get some of the mid-day sun shining through the branches. I don’t have a diffuser so it was a bit difficult to obtain a photo that wasn’t a silhouette. This photo is a promise of things to come.
