World Bird Wednesday – Keeping Clean

We all need to take care of ourselves, and keep clean, and so does the killdeer.  I found this solo bird taking advantage of the shallow, calm water in the local Japanese garden.  I think it prefered to do its bathing here because the lake, only 20 feet away, was actually quite rough, and the waves were very disruptive.

I can’t blame it for seeking a calmer place.
