5th April 2012 – Golden Grasses

These tall and flexible grasses have been stunning this winter.  Their golden straw like fronds have survived blankets of snow, battering winds, and freezing conditions.  Today, in the warm spring sun, they stand tall and proud, waving gently in the breeze and producing a soft, calming sound as the grass heads rustle against one another.  So much richness in one ordinary grass.
