I visited a friend in WestBank (West Kelowna) today and watched from her kitchen window as birds came to the bird feeder. Here are the best of the shots I managed to take.
This blackbird was enjoying the warm temperatures and hoping to get a bit of sleep but it occasionally was disturbed by the other birds nearby and it would open its eyes in such a way that registered disgust at being awoken.
One of the disruptive individuals that the blackbird obviously was not happy with was this Oregon Junco. There were a good number of them taking advantage of the bird feeder, getting ready for the summer exploits of looking after young.
