8th March 2012 – Orchid

I love orchids.  There are thousands of varieties and, contrary to belief, they are not that hard to look after.  The most common of houseplant orchids is the Phalaenopsis.  Modern breeding has produces the most wonderful array of colours.  There is bound to be a colour that suits your interior design!

I found this pale petalled variety today.  I was working with the macrophotography again and I couldn’t get the lighting conditions quite right, but I still believe that it works well.
