6th March 2012 – Water in Winter
I took a small road trip today, driving between Penticton, Cawston, Osoyoos and back to Penticton via Oliver. There are some amazing sites to see; mountains, high plain farmland, flood plains of the Similkameen, vineyards, orchards and lakes.
Spotted Lake – considered a medicine lake by the Okanagan Nation Ktlili’x.
At Skaha Lake, at Okanagan Falls, this crack in the ice extended for several feet, with thick ice either side. Wonder what made this part melt and not the ice nearer the shore???
