7th Feb 2012 – Experimenting with Macro – Alstroemeria

I’ve wanted to do some macro work for a while but only having a kit lens meant that photos, although great, were limited in detail.  However, I bought some extension rings (cheaper than a macro lens) to see how I get on with the whole macro photography thing.  If I like it, I’ll save up for a specialist lens, but I’m in no hurry.

Flowers always provide a good, colourful subject and I have some alstroemeria which are one of my favourite cut flowers.  See what you think of my first steps today.

Added 2100hrs – I found this link to Flower Photography.  Now here is something to aim for.
