26th Jan 2012 – Storm Ahead

It has been the most glorious day here in Penticton, and the Okanagan Valley has lived up to its name of one of the most beautiful places in the world.  The sun has shown its face and warmed the soul.  Taking photographs in this setting is a joy.

I wanted to experiment with taking photos of shadows lengthening across the snow, and I achieved that to an extent.  However, not all the sky was bright and blue.  Clouds were building.

I’ve posted two photos of the same scene, one colour, the other black and white.  Both, I think, are expressive.  Perhaps you would be kind enough to tell me which one you prefer.  Thanks for stopping by.
