8th Jan 2012 – Tea Time

I am English and currently living in Canada – and loving it.  However, I have never joined in the coffee culture but stubbornly stick to my cup of tea!!!  At Christmas, some good friends gave me a teapot as a present.  They know me.

So this post is for all you tea lovers out there.

The teapot is a wonderful shape, with straight lines blending well with angled curves.  So, it is today’s subject for the photograph.

I love the shadow on the teapot spout.  I was using a flash with a 90 degree angle.

The conical shape of this teapot gives an illusion of strength.  You can see the lines in the body where the clay has been handthrown and worked.  It’s a very tactile teapot!
